Arden Wood Collection
Knots Record Time, Quiet Strength Takes Root
Design Inspiration
Arden Wood takes inspiration from the historic Ardennes plateau in Europe. Spanning Belgium, Luxembourg and France, this ancient forest region is known for dense oak and beech woodland. Harsh winters and varied geology shape resilient timber with a tight grain and deep, rich colour.
Product Concept
KT draws on more than the appearance of Ardennes timber: it captures the forest's resilience in demanding conditions. Weathered by snow, wind and time, each knot and crack records the meeting of nature and history.
The Aesthetic Dimensions of Arden Wood
Arden Wood: The Texture of Time
Knots, cracks and insect holes recreated on the tile surface celebrate the resilience of living wood rather than treating these marks as flaws.
Warm, understated tones: four colours suit a range of interior styles.
Faithful 1:1 Reproduction:
Scanned cross-sections of old Ardennes timber reproduce variations in density, oxidation marks and even tiny pores formed by rainwater erosion, recording each detail with precision.
Coordinated Sizes:
750 × 1500, 600 × 1200, 250 × 1500 and 200 × 1200 mm formats offer options for different spaces and design requirements.
Matt Moulded Finish:
A matt moulded process recreates natural timber grain on the tile surface,
giving it a fine, hair-like texture that recalls forest timber: subtle yet full of life.
